Greetings and Happy New Year,
This is to announce the Launch of the #Y4CARMMA Campaign, which will be running for a period of two years beginning 2013. The campaign was established to promote and channel youth engagement in the implementation of CARMMA – the Campaign for Accelerated Reduction of Maternal Mortality in Africa, with the support of both UNFPA Africa Regional Office and the African Union Department of Social Affairs (which manages CARMMA).
The campaign will be implemented online through social media and will operate from WWW.Y4CARMMA.ORG. It will provide a platform for discussion and raise awareness on issues such as Maternal Mortality, Family Planning, Sexual and Reproductive Health (education and services), Youth Friendly Services and much more.
You can participate in the campaign by first forwarding this message throughout your networks. Other ways to ensure you receive updates and participate in the campaign include;

There is no reason why a woman should die giving life. Let us mobilize young people across Africa to understand issues around maternal mortality and what role they can play to reduce current rates and foster a sustainable, healthy future for Africa’s populace.
