Good point, thanks. I’ll send them now. Who is the best person to contact in the youth group in Nigeria?

Hi Maeve-

This looks good to me. Might be worth adding one sentence near the beginning that says you work in GS London office and have been working with a coalition of organizations leading the campaigning for health workers in the lead up to the UNGA, mentioning that you are looking forward to meeting them in NY. I just think it might help them keep everyone who they are going to be working with in the lead up straight.

Hi Kristin,

See below for an email to the NY winners to ask them to participate in the short film we are working on with Save. Betsy is happy for us to approach them all.

I wanted to run the email past you to check that it sounds ok and you are ok for me to send, as you have been communicating with them about visas and so on.

If ok, can you send me the email addresses?

The deadline is really tight, next Wednesday so hoping to get this out today.

Thanks,

Dear

We are really excited that you are going to be joining us in New York I hope that your preparations are going well.

I wanted to be in touch about Going the Distance a short film that we are working with Save the Children on to highlight the importance and value of the work of health workers around the world. We will use the film to inspire action in support of more health workers, better supported in the build to the UN General Assembly in September.

We are collecting stories from frontline health workers, patients and voices from members of the public. It would be great if all of the participants coming to New York to participate in the film as we plan to use it in our on-going communications to promote the activities of the WRA in New York.

Attached is the full instructions for participation.

It is very easy to take part, you just need a simple video such as a flip cam but if you don’t have those capabilities you could always send a couple of photos and we can organise a way to record your voice over the telephone.

Please note the deadline for the content is the 31s August apologies for the short turn around.

I would be happy to answer any questions about this project over email or talk this over in more detail over Skype or the telephone in the next few days please let me know if it would be helpful.

All best,

Maeve
