SEMINAR
CUM WORKSHOP ON
YOUTH NGOS AS SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURS
International Youth Centre (IYC), Kuala Lumpur, Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia and University Putra Malaysia (UPM) jointly organizing the “Seminar cum Workshop on Youth NGOs as Social Entrepreneur” from 21 to 27 March 2010 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with close cooperation from Asian Youth Council (AYC), Committee for ASEAN Youth Cooperation (CAYC) and the Malaysian Youth Council.
The aim of this Seminar is to inculcate the values and the importance of entrepreneurial and business skills in solving social/community problems and challenges. The objectives of the seminar are including to understand the concept of social entrepreneurship in relation to the role of youth organizations in contributing to community and national development; to appreciate the potential of social entrepreneurship in uplifting the society at large; to provide in-depth understanding of innovative and emerging trend in social entrepreneurship; to identify the major elements related to the governance of social entrepreneurship in ensuring positive and efficient social impact; to develop plans of action in implementing social entrepreneurship in youth organizations.
The participation have to pay the fee which cover he lodging boarding, workshop material, field visit, local transport etc. There is no scholarship available, participant have to take care of their international travel and visa expenses etc.

Organizations (ICYO) is a registered non-profit, non-governmental network
organization, committed in developing areas of mutual cooperation and
understanding among different youth voluntary agencies, youth groups, clubs and
individuals working in the field of youth welfare in India.
ICYO functions as an umbrella organization
of youth NGOs in India. It's family consists of
over 389 organizations
spread in 124 districts of 26 states from different corners of
India.
