Feedback from recent events

Salams all,

Jazaks to Hossam + Mostafa + anyone else involved for coordinating/helping with the recent Ahmed Haggag visit.

Just some feedback from my end. In future, when dealing with any personalities/public figures/celebrities, especially ones that have a youtube following, I highly recommend that people not trained in media/PR (such as myself & Mohamed) do not under any circumstances conduct any recorded interviews. For people that didn't attend Saturday (& just in case, for those that did), Mohamed & I did an 'interview' with Ahmed Haggag, where he made one very controversial comment (can also be described as inappropriate). 

I've asked Hossam to request him to kindly delete it for us. Jazaks again Hossam.

Because our organisation is titled - Islamic Egyptian Society, we have to take additional steps to ensure we are not vulnerable under any circumstances. All it takes is one comment, one mention of our group and one youtube video to go viral for the media to have a party. Whereas if Mohamed or I were trained in conducting interviews we would have controlled that interview & definitely challenged his comment in a positive way (Thought of all these things.

My intentions for sharing this feedback, come from a protective & good place inshAllah.
