In one week, thousands of organizers and activists from across the
country will travel to Detroit for the U.S. Social Forum - a 5-day
space to build relationships, learn from each other's experiences and
bring renewed insight and inspiration to our movements.
Join us! The Student/Farmworker Alliance is organizing or participating
in a number of workshops and discussions throughout the week. Visit the
SFA site today for a complete
listing of all events hosted by SFA, the Coalition of Immokalee
Workers, and friends!
And, on Thursday, June 24th,
don't miss our Hip-Hop Fandango
Benefit (outreach flyer here:
http://www.sfalliance.org/2010USSF.html)
featuring performances by the
Rebel Diaz Arts Collective,
Olmeca and Son Solidario! Join us for a
night of
celebration, music and dancing (not to mention the opportunity to
hang with an amazing group of current and former SFA Steering Committee
members, interns, staff and organizers from every corner of the
country) - all to support the crucial work of SFA and the Campaign for
Fair Food.
See you in Detroit! -
