Gaining ethics and R&D approval
To begin a research project with us you need to gain both ethics (in
most cases) and R&D management (always) approval. If you do not have
an approval letter signed by the director or deputy director of
research and development you may not begin a research project – doing
so constitutes research misconduct.
All research projects (including student research) involving hospital
staff, patients and/or facilities must be have R&D Approval from the
R&D Office.
