Cricket this weekend at Zilker Park Hillside Theater

Hi All,

Hope you all are doing well.  I am writing after a while to notify you all of an upcoming event.  This weekend Austin is celebrating the South Asian New Year Festival at Zilker Park Hillside Theater with a lot of fun activities from noon to rest of the afternoon.  Here is the event flyer.

We expect a lot of kids to show up.  This would be a good opportunity to come celebrate as well as get the rust off the cricketing skills the kids have garnered.  I'd love to see you there and get a chance to catch up.

In addition, if you do have some time to spare for help with some coaching/volunteering the cricket event, that would be extra welcome.  Either way, just showing up would be great.  Please let me know if you can make it so I can expect you.

Hi Nagesh, good to heat from you.  We would have loved to come but Jake has an all day track meet that day.  Do keep us posted about anything else that happens as Luke has been asking when cricket will start again!

Hi Nagesh,

Good to hear from you. Prahlaad has just recently been out in the yard practicing bowling. I know he'd love to meet up with the group for cricket sometime soon. Unfortunately, we can't make it this weekend. We'll be in Houston for the Texas Assamese New Year celebration--Bihu. One of these years I hope that celebration and the one at Zilker Park happen on different days. The Zilker Park gathering sounds like a lot of fun--and there's cricket involved!--and I'd love the kids to experience this celebration with the greater Indian community in Austin. Perhaps they would join up with their Assamese friends for a bihu dance on the stage...
