Dear circus family,
Good news, in fact great news - a chance for a circus centre in Edinburgh has finally landed in our laps!
Bad news - taking on the lease with only 7 weeks notice left no time to secure funding for set-up costs.
We need help and we need it fast. Full Cirqle will house seven companies and up to 50 individual members providing 24/7 drop in training, cheap rehearsal rooms and studio, workspace and storage. Bringing together our community, our equipment and our resources will make a thriving circus hub but without rigging points and an entry system we can’t operate.
Circus is alive and kicking across Scotland - with Aerial Edge at The Briggait, withAll Or Nothing at Out Of The Blue, with Gandalf in Tollcross Primary School, with Spinal Chord in the Firhill Sports Centre, Maryhill, with Voicebox at the Steiner School, in Forest+, Findhorn, Skye, Aberdeen and many more. But Full Cirqle will be Scotland’s first full time dedicated circus space.
We have only 13 days to pull together £5000 for the few things we can’t beg, borrow or build ourselves in time to meet the first rent payment on 1 May and open 10 May. Please click through, support, share to get us up and running. Help us give Edinburgh a circus heart.
