Hi,

I'm hoping to continue to use yourtwapperkeeper for archiving as part of my PhD research, but I cannot get any recent install I try to work. The consistent problem is the "Archiving processes have died" one, which I have read previous posts on, but to no avail. I'm wondering if there's something fundamental I'm doing wrong now, to if this is a matter of deprecation of aspects of the code of yTK.

I'm happy to troubleshoot this with anyone who can lend a hand; so please contact me by email if I can provide further details. For now, here are the contents of the php_error.log and apache_error.log; I'm running yTK on MAMP on a mac and have no other sources of error. PHP version is 5.5.3

Error logs on attempting to start archiving:
php_error.log
[10-Mar-2014 23:16:45 Europe/Berlin] PHP Deprecated:  mysql_connect(): The mysql extension is deprecated and will be removed in the future: use mysqli or PDO instead in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/twarchive/config.php on line 65

apache_error.log
kill: usage: kill [-s sigspec | -n signum | -sigspec] pid | jobspec ... or kill -l [sigspec]

The PHP error relates to the deprecation of mysql_connect, obviously, but I don't think is a fatal error, but rather a logged warning to upgrade. Does this mean that the yTK code base must be entirely upgraded to a new mysql interaction system for archiving to work? I assume not, since I know it to be working for many other scholars.

I'd really appreciate some help, since aspects of my research have ground to a halt without it!

Many thanks,
Dónal
