charfield_autocomplete in Python3 as shown in demo video

I was watching the demo video:

And I would like to use the TextWidget shown at 4:04, within the char_autocomplete folder.

However, I can't find it in https://github.com/yourlabs/django-autocomplete-light/tree/master/test_project

The problem I am trying to overcome is I have a autocomplete.ModelSelect2 widget, but if I paste a field in the value I want, and press enter, it takes it the first old match, instead of the field I just pasted in. I have to first wait for the same match to load, then click on it. Which is a slow workflow in this case.

I don't think dal supports CharAutocomplete anymore, I don't think select2 supports it.
