location technology, Nokia has thrown open a contest to hunt out the
most innovative application worldwide and showcase it on their global
platform. We all know of Nokia’s hugely popular Calling All
Innovators (www.callingallinnovators.com) contest. Nokia has now added
a new category named “Apps On Maps” for exploiting innovations in
location technology behind Maps. You can send your idea for the
application on any theme such as entertainment, travel, gaming, news
or B2B. The best part is the application can be based on any standard
web technology such as HTML, CSS and Javascript.

The best three ideas for applications on Maps will be showcased at a
major Nokia event. Also on offer are cash awards worth $30,000 for the
three winners. The selected ideas will be distributes worldwide at Ovi
Store, online Nokia application store.
