The big multi-national hotel corporations are using the current state of the economy as an excuse to cut back on health care and pension benefits for workers. However, the hotel industry continues to profit and in 2008, supposedly a "down" year in terms of business, these same corporations paid their CEOs anywhere between $2.3 million to a whopping $1.3 billion!
