MINUTES FOR THE MEETING HELD 3/2/2015- MARKET PLACE MINISTRY

GENERAL COMMITTEE.

Members present:  Peter, Alex, Julie, Harriet, Kathy, Micheal, Lillian, Suzan, Douglas and Gilbert.

The meeting basically was focused on feedback from the pastors about the ministry and was presented by Peter Kakuru as summarized below:

Min 1:

Peter highlighted the following:

• First the pastors to choose the leader the overall leader of the ministry.

• District leaders to be chosen by pastors and the former are accountable to the church leadership.

• Spheres at the district level to report to the district pastors directly.

• District leaders to comprise of the core team of the pastor and the leaders will have to prepare monthly reports to the pastors.

• The ministry to be driven by the pastors and the launch will be done by them and the district leaders will be introduced by the pastor. also the plans and agenda to be led by the pastors.

• Different pastor have various versions and interpretations of how the ministry to be led, so leaders have to work with the pastors.

• The ministry to focus on the financial and career needs of the people in the church.

• Also the ministry have access to certain platforms like Equip Nite, so here to discuss with the pastors how to utilize the opportunities.

• Means of communicating to Young Workers about the end of the ministry and let them know about the Market Place Ministry.

• The final conclusion on the day of Launch will be after 'My Miracle Money' probably by April 2015.

• To draw plans in short term, medium and long term for transformation.

• Market Place Ministry Conference to start organizing.

Feedback from District leaders.

SOUTH- Gilbert

Met the pastor about a budget and to meet them again on Friday.

NORTH - Micheal

They were able to meet the pastor on Tuesday.

CENTRAL - Alex

Meeting pastor Julius on Thursday.

Conclusion

No rush to spheres so that people understand spheres, get blessing from the leadership  and start engaging the members about the new direction.

Thank you for making time to carry out all these deliberations, I greatly appreciate. May the Lord reward your selflessness towards the ministry.

I need some clarity here.

I thought district leaders were already vetted by the district Pastors. Why are they again choosing (other) leaders?

We need a strong leadership that will champion the mission of the ministry. Its important that we have a leader who is in touch with the needs of the “Young worker”.

Though change is inevitable, I pray that we shall have sync between what church wants to do through the Market place ministry, and the needs of the “young worker”.

These will work as guideline of the ministry.

According to Peter's explanation, the current leadership stays but for the upcoming in the future.
