Praise the Lord,

I believe that God has kept you well, below are  the minutes for Market Place Ministry General Committee held on 10/11/2014 at Watoto Church Central.

Opening prayer was done by Julie and members present were: Douglas, Rachael,

Julie, Richard,Joel,Micheal, David, Christine, Harriet,Alex, Gilbert, Yeko and Lillian.

Absent with communication were Kathy as she earlier informed via email, for Peter Kakuru rushed home as we are  aware they are expecting a miracle very soon.

The meeting discussion was a long side the following:

• Agenda

• Branding update

• Retreat

• Program for the retreat

• A.O.B

 # Update from the meeting with District Pastors
North - Micheal

They were able to meet Pastor Joshua, he was excited and the team shared what they expect from the pastor and vice verse about the ministry.

Pastor shared the spheres model of influence and he promised to assist the team providing them with contacts of right people.

The team requested for space within the church program.

South - Richard

The team met pastor Edward and the latter had some suggestions like

•  A month of the lunch, a preaching about the ministry either before or after.

• He said that, this is purely a new ministry, therefore young workers has to be killed completely. so the people should clearly understand the ministry.
  

• Also suggested that heads of spheres to be called champions
• Pastor Edward noted about 'why  the ministry is vital, what people are  missing for not joining"?

 East - Yeko

Have not yet met the pastor, so they are expecting to be next week.

However Yeko noted about how to ' how to kill the young workers completely"

West - Harriet

They scheduled to meet the admin pastor and the entire team confirmed committed to serve.

# Branding - Douglas

Unfortunately the the team did not meet but organizing to meet on Tuesday with Esther the church marketing coordinator on the terms of reference. 

All the up date will be communicated.

Douglas also highlighted that , they also wanted to know the feedback from pastors about the new ministry to be able to incorporate them in branding process.

# Retreat

 Reminder of the date : 29 and 30 November 2014

The expected number of people are 33.

The venue is gonna be Harriet's.

The latter  highlighted about the available space, where there's open space, accommodation for ladies is inside, gents in the boys quarters and also provision for hiring sleeping tents in case the rooms are inadequate.

Also hiring chairs, power issue since they are using 'yaka", toiletries, and hiring someone to do the cooking. so all those expenses are gonna be incorporated in a budget to know how much we can contribute. 

Douglas has also an option where by some leaders nearby willing to host some members.

8:00 - 9:00 Am  - Breakfast

9:00- 1:00 Pm   -  Session  1

1:00- 2:00 Pm   -   Lunch

2:00-6:00 Pm    -   Session 2

6:00- 7:00 Pm   -  Dinner

7:00-9:00 Pm     -  Session 3

9:00- 10:00 Pm    -  Prayer afterwards sleeping.......

Sunday

8:00 Am  -  9:00 Am   - Breakfast

9:00 Am  -  2:00 Pm   - Session

2:00 Pm  - 3:00  Pm    - Lunch and departure.........

Some of the issues to be discussed:

• Activities of the ministry

• Spheres ( leadership structure)

• How kill the young workers ministry

• Branding of the new ministry

• Recruitment of new members

• Finance collections and operations

• How to own the ministry

• How to tackle the problems in market place and coming up with solutions.

• ETC

Thanks Alex for the minutes. we are making good progress but we need to keep focused on what the Lord had laid upon our hearts about the ministry.

Thanks Team.

I really felt hard done not being able to be a part of the meeting yesterday and connect with you great and awesome people. Alex many thanks for the quick delivery of minutes. This is truly excellent and commendable.

Thank you for standing with us in prayer, we're well, still awaiting the birth of our baby, we however have no maid, so have to be home early to support my wife.

Otherwise I am very excited about the future of this ministry because of the execution speed and excellence that you're exhibiting. Lets keep it up.

As we await the planned retreat, lets us all together with our teams continue to prayerfully think about how we will execute our ministry mandate in fulfilling our mission. That said, many thanks Michael for going ahead to think so, looking forward to hearing the great ideas you have in mind.
