Below are the minutes of Market Place Ministry Meeting at Central held on Tuesday 18/11/2014;

Members that attended were; Rachael,  Alex, Christine, Richard Mayanja, Douglas, Micheal, Harriet, David, Peter, Julie, Joel, Kathy, Christian,Gilbert, Yeko and Suzan.

# Meeting with the Pastors - Peter

There's a suggestion by the pastors to preach a sermon about the Market place as in to usher the congregation about the new ministry before the official launching. 

• Here the mission and dream to be driven by the pastors with series about market place and to engage the spectrum of the market place.pastors also noted how to attract market place people into the ministry.

• Pastoral Involvement during the retreat  in the discussion especially at level 2 and 3.

• Its important to have pastoral ownership of the ministry since the latter are the ones whom we are going to be involved and engaged in and out with the ministry.

• The pastors who can be available for the retreat are Ps Joshua, ps, Kelvin, ps Julius, Ps Edward, Ps Hannington and Jackie Opondo.

• Also part of launch activity, there can be a conference as to invite business people like Ms Kagina, Mr Ocici etc  as key speakers,  this  will help to maximize the opportunity of pulling the masses to join the ministry.
  

• Pastors are also concerned about   the people to lead the spheres group, since is a strategic part of the ministry. the challenge of how to draw people to the platform of the key influence and then bring tangible transformation in the city and nation. 

• On Wednesday 26 November 2014, the team leaders of the ministry together with Peter, Julie and Douglas to meet the pastors  early morning hours to discuss the direction of the ministry before the retreat.

• Also to get someone at East since the leader seems to be engaged some where,( hope am right here, any correction if possible) ,additional to that head counting of key people in the congregation to join the ministry.

• How to pull the spheres in equipping, training and we need  to understand the vision and the ministry itself,  this is dynamic ministry more than young workers.
  

# The communication should be a burden to bring transformation in spheres of influence in the market place and therefore the availability of the leaders  to move the ministry forward requires more commitment, research and reading about the market place.

# Richard noted of how to have a uniform message across the districts

# Yeko noted that, when they met  the pastor, the latter said that killing the young workers is not a good idea but how to go into transition to the market place.

# Peter is to send a message/ statement to young workers in the data base possibly on Thursday about the new direction and the new ministry hint.

# Re branding process is still underway, may be in the next meeting the latest update will be shared.

I like the fact that the pastoral team is increasingly being involved in the setting up and running of the young workers. I think with their buy-in, we should take this in as away to effortlessly gain as much ground towards realization of the dream/vision as possible. To whom much is given much will be required.

Praise Mukama!!

 

My heart is always filled with joy whenever I hear of the progress in the ministry. It’s awesome that at this point all leaders have fully aligned themselves to the new direction and have the same heart beat for this incredible ministry. The pastoral backing of this new direction gladdens my heart.

 

Allow me thank God for an able leadership at West. I’m well pleased in this team and I have tried to hide my Kiface so that they can have visibility. Harriet, I’m very happy for your team’s vibrancy and the support you have so far given to the District Pastoral team. Thumbs up to you guys.

 

Trust me, the young and visionary leaders just like Alex are here at such time as this for the expansion of His kingdom and for the glorification of His name in the market place which all of us must support at every expense.  

 

Lots of love to you all and wish you every God’s blessing.

Good to know that my fellow elder and brother in Christ is watching closely-Mr Katongole.

Man! Am still at the heat of it as I want to see these guys close over.

 

These chaps are hot, they make me feel like staying yet people like Katongole made me feel like I should have gone yesto……..lol

Am soon joining you as my days are number, though still waiting to see how I can walk away with my retirement package.

 

It’s a new direction, a new team and great guys. Can’t wait to be supporting………………. from behind.
