Greetings All,
EcoCity Farms has offered to host our next Young Farmer Brigade gathering at their farm in Edmonston. Please respond to the Doodle Poll to express whether Friday July 6 or July 13 from 5-8 work better. Also lets work together to figure out those we'd like to invite to address the group about Land Access in our region.
Doodle Poll:
Take good care,
Molly

Greetings All,
Thank you to all who attended the gathering of young farmers and allies on Wednesday. It's exciting to be a part of the energy and community building amongst young farmers and allies. Attached you'll find the meeting notes for your review, it includes various needs, ideas, and resources the group discussed. Major topics the group discussed included working together identifying and voicing the needs of DC/MD/VA young farmers, networking, knowledge/skill/toolshares, and strengthening opportunities of young farmers in DC/MD/VA. All mixed with socializing and relationship building for positive and vibrant changes in our communities.
The group discussed our next gathering will be a social event and our friends at EcoCity Farms have offered to host in late June or early July. More details will be coming soon. The proposed theme for that evening will be land access.
A Facebook Group has been created that is open to all and can help facilitate communication on these topics, please spread join and spread the word for other members of our community to join as well!

Also, a Young Farmers Brigade google group has been created and can be used from now on to facilitate communication, again it is open to all so if you would like to be up to date on regular communication with the group please join and spread the word:

For each gathering we encourage participation of the entire group, so discussion of rotating meeting facilitators and notetakers was encouraged and we encourage someone to volunteer to facilitate as well as to document the next event.
Take good care and looking forward to working together!
Molly
