Dear Young Stationers and friends,
Hullo, and I hope you're all very well! I'm very grateful indeed to everyone who came to our dinner in the House of Lords with Lord Balfe on the 23d February.
A few of us are off this weekend to Dublin - it's not late to join us, for a bookish breeze through town the weekend before St Patrick's Day!
On St Patrick's Day itself next week, many of us will be going to the Garrick Club, to drown the shamrock, and to raise a few pennies for the Alzheimer's Society.
At the end of this month, on the 31st, Young Stationer Dr Barbara Lauriat (Lecturer Law, KCL) has invited all the Young Stationers to Inner Temple for a two-course dinner and a brief discussion on copyright and internet issues from the renowned Professor Sam Ricketson and Phil Roberts (One Essex Court). Recession-busting at only £29! We will be joined by a number of barristers, students, and participants in the 'IP Speakeasy'.
In your diaries, please do remember our Annual Dinner this year will take place 20th July in Stationers' Hall, when we will award the second Young Stationers' Prize, for remarkable achievement in the fields of the Stationers' Company by any person generally under 40.
And finally, we're tremendously grateful to a few of our recent Freemen of the Stationers' Company for agreeing to serve on the Young Stationers' Committee. (We will have our first meeting on 22d April.)
