Christmas Dinner with Christian May, Editor of City AM

Dear friends,

I'm very much looking forward to seeing many of you a week from Monday, for our Christmas Dinner with Christian May, the new editor of City AM.  

 We're very lucky to have Christian come speak to us - who, at 27, is very much himself a Young Stationer.  He also is very new in post, having just taken over the helm of City AM only in June. We were in touch with him when his appointment was announced, and he asked for a few months to get his feet under the table.  I do suspect his evening with us will be one of the first times, and possibly the first, that he's ventured out to speak about having taken over the paper, what the experience has been like, and his plans for it.

 City AM is also rather neatly a crossover between journalism and the City - the Stationers' Company's two beats! 

 We will be in the Oxford and Cambridge Club, at 7 for half 7 on 7th December.  Dress is Black tie and Christmas hats.  Our last Christmas dinner was with Culture Secretary John Whittingdale.  For those who might be feeling retrospective, a list of the 21 speakers who have now come to spend evenings with the YS is attached.
