My dear Young Stationers and friends,
Hullo - I hope you all are well indeed, and have survived the weekend!
We've still a few spaces left for Thursday's dinner celebrating 150 years of Wisden with its editor, at the Army and Navy Club (or Rag) on Pall Mall. Oh do come join us! (Four courses, and a gin and tonic sorbet they've concocted, sensing our weakness...)
I'm also attaching flyers for our next two dinners: with Times religion writer Ruth Gledhill at the Honourable Artillery Company, and the editor of Hansard for our annual dinner in Stationers' Hall itself.
I'm very grateful to the five Young Stationers who will be assisting in mentoring at the new Stationers' Academy (more welcome!), and the other six taking part in the judging for the Shine School Media Awards. We'll also be cycling to Ypres to mark the centenary of the Great War, remember our Company's fallen, and raise pennies for the Wiltshire Barn Project and Royal British Legion. Do come! We are working on convincing the Clerk to join us on his Brompton....
with all my very best wishes,
