AMP announces formation of its 4th Governing Council

Association of Muslim Professionals a pan-India social welfare organization announces the formation of its 4thGoverning Council.
AMP is a registered Non-Profit Organization which has been growing exponentially in various cities across India. It is registered under the societies act and has its members located not just within India but globally as well. With the way AMP has been growing with its ever increasing member-base across various towns and cities and even abroad it has become imperative to formulate the already robust AMP Governing Council with a national representation and strengthen it further.
To be informed, the AMP Governing Council is the highest executive body of AMP looking after all the Policy decisions of AMP. The new 15-member Governing Council with 2 Special invitees to GC has been formulated keeping in mind the broad spectrum of representation from the Bureaucratic, Corporate, Social and Legal fields. The new entrée to the AMP GC can see a mix of strong intellectuals and achievers. It has stalwart professionals such as a Vice-President from a leading MNC organization, a leading Supreme Court lawyer, a ranked IAS administrative professional, a leading personality from the Social arena and strong academician as well. The spread of GC has members from various states across the country who have a very strong network. Now with its more stronger and versatile GC team in place AMP now looks forward to focus on its expansion drive and take up its various projects even more aggressively and spreads its presence across every town and city in the country.
The present committed team of AMP GC and core team members have been re-elected for a further term of 2-Years from December,2015 till November 2017.
The new GC elected its new office bearers as well who are elected from among the GC members. The choice of GC was unanimous with Mr. Aamir Edresy being elected President of the organization for the fourth consecutive term and Mr. Syed Najeeb-Ur-Rahman being elected its General Secretary.

Organizing Secretary: Mr. Soheb Selia, Chief Manager - MIS & Analytics, Mumbai
Finance Secretary: Mr. Javed Syed, Entrepreneur and Designs Professional, Mumbai

Mr. Omar Farooq Khatani – Additional Collector, (Retd.) Top Bureaucrat, Bhopal, MP.
Mr. Abrar Sayyad - R&D Engineer, from Osmanabad, presently in Pune.
Ms. Ayesha Chawdhry - Advocate, Supreme Court of India, Delhi.
Mr. Jabir Choksi – Structural Engineer, Chair Person – Architects & Engineers Association, Surat, Gujarat.
Ms. Zahida Khan – Ex Director, Karnataka State Warehousing Corporation, Bangalore, Karnataka.
Ms. Muzna Memon – Vice President in a Leading international Bank, Mumbai
Ms. Shabanam Aziz – Social Development Professional, Jaipur, Rajasthan,
Mr. Mohammed Altamash – Advertisement and Branding Professional – Delhi
Mr. Mohammed Aaqil – Senior Consultant - ITIL Process, Bangalore, Karnataka,
Mr. Mohammad Fahad Alam – Telecom Professional, from Gorakhpur, UP, presently in Kuwait.
Ms. Shagufta Jaffery - Senior Vice President in an International Corporation in California
Ms. Tahmina Laskar - Lawyer & Human Right Activist, from Assam, presently in Delhi
Speaking on this Mr. Aamir Edresy said, “It is matter of great honour that the Governing Council has placed its firm faith on my abilities and approved of my leadership. More than a matter of pride it is a great responsibility on me. Having been elected for the fourth consecutive term has put even bigger responsibilities on my shoulders which I need to take care of and live up to the expectations of not just my organization but the entire community. With a team of such strong and influential people in the GC we hope that their rich experience and network across the country will help AMP to reach all over India and have strong presence everywhere.”
On his being re elected as Gen. Secretary second time Mr. Syed Najeeb-Ur-Rahman said, “With every responsibility comes a great degree of accountability. These appointments are not just laurels but accountability to the faith the highest executive body of the organization has placed on us and it comes as a bigger responsibility to live up to their expectations and never belie the faith bestowed upon us. It is not just the organization or the community we are responsible towards, we are accountable to ourselves and our conscience as well. There are still lots to be done for the community. With such a wonderful team of professionals I am sure we can achieve our objectives and stand up to the expectations of not just the community and the society but the entire humanity.”
