Now that the weather has changed and we are getting into the fall climate it is time to start thinking about allergies, and the cold and flu season. I look around and the community drug stores and grocery stores are already offering flu shots. A better alternative is to make sure you have a good supply of therapuetic essential oils on hand and use them daily.

For allergies, my personal favorate is lavender oil. I wake up very congestive and apply lavender oil to the bridge of my nose and within minutes my sinuses are opened. The Quick Reference Guide list Melaleuca, lavender, peppermint, patchouli, R.C. and Roman chamomile and several others. You can diffuse the oils or apply directly. The reference guilde states that "for some individuals, the use of peppermint oil has eliminated the need for allergy shots!" I found this true with lavender. In fact my allergist released me and told me to continue doing what I do.

For Cold and Flu, I keep several bottles of Thieves and R.C. on hand and use them daily. Personally, I have not taken the flu vaccine in years and have been very healthy even when exposed to many sick people in the hospital.
How do I use them?
1. First thing after getting out of the shower in the morning, I apply several drops of both oils to the bottom of my feet.
2. I diffuse Thieves every evening for at least 30 minutes in a common room of the house.
3. For you who have small children who still take baths, apply several drops of RC and Thieves to a cup of epsom salt and add that to their bath water. I had a testimony from a total stranger who said her children never had a cold or flu until the age of seven ( when they started to take showers) because she did this.

Stay Healthy this season by making a lifestyle change with your oils.
Here's to your New Life with Oils,

Enjoyed your news letter.  I am not sure what RC is, can you explain.

Thanks,

Good question Karin. R.C. is a blend and I believe R.C. stands for "respiratory care." The blend made up of several species of Eucalyptus (E. globulus, E.radiata, E.citriodora) myrtle, pine, peppermint, lavender, cypress, and tsuga. It is great for colds.
