Hello! Happy Advent We have several wonderful events coming up - hope you can join us!
URGENT - Volunteers needed for Lessons and Carols, Sunday, December 14th Assumption invites the Young Adult Group to be involved in their Franciscan Lessons and Carols On Sunday, December 14th at 2pm! It will be a beautiful afternoon celebrated in the tradition of St. Francis, who recreated the manger scene in the hills above Greccio, Italy. They are looking for young adults who might be interested in reading, possibly singing a couple christmas carols, or even participating in the live nativity that they will be holding inside the church! If you are at all interested in participating in any of these ways, please contact me by tomorrow (Monday) evening at the latest. I apologize for the late notice, but we need to get plans solidified as quickly as possible. As always, if you won't be able to volunteer with us that evening, we would love you to come to enjoy the evening as part of the congregation! It is a free event! Coffee and cookies to follow :) Please invite your family and friends!
Ladies Night at the Franciscan Place - Thursday, December 4th, 5-9pm
Shop for those special Christmas gifts and enjoy punch and goodies while sharing your faith with your sisters. Don't forget to visit the chapel for a peaceful, prayerful moment!
First Friday Mass - Friday, December 5th, 6:30pm
Join us and the Diocese of Syracuse Young Adult Ministry on Friday, December 5, for confession and Mass. Head to the Daily Mass Chapel of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception downtown, where confessions will be heard from 6:00 to 6:30pm, followed by Mass. After Mass, we'll head downtown to Small Plates for some delicious food, good conversation, and fun!
Dinner Theater - Saturday, December 6th after the 4pm mass
Praise & Worship & Adoration- Friday, December 12th, 7:30pm
Assumption Church, in the lower (grotto) church
Come join the Franciscan Young Adults of Syracsue in prayer, praise and adoration in celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on December 12th! There will be an hour of praise and worship, prayer, and adoration followed by time for fellowship. A copy of the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe will be available for veneration as well. Please bring a snack or a drink to share if you can :) We are looking forward to seeing you all!

The Franciscan Place - both Catholic gift/book shop and a chapel - is located near DSW and Old Navy in the commons level of the mall. Please feel free to stop in and spend a couple minutes with Jesus in the Chapel the next time you find yourself at the mall! A wonderful respite in the midst of your day!
