Good evening!  We have a couple of great events over the next couple days.  I really hope that you can join us!  For photos from the recent Matt Maher concert, check out our page at https://www.facebook.com/YouFraSyracuse.

Praise & Worship & Adoration/Feast of the Assumption - Friday, August 15th, 6:30pm
Assumption Church

Everyone is welcome to come join the Young Adults as we celebrate the Feast of the Assumption!  What better way to celebrate this awesome feast and holy day of obligation than with your young adult friends at Assumption Church?  Praise and Worship and Adoration will be at 6:30,and mass will start at 7:30pm.  Everyone is welcome to join in praise and worship and the mass.  Young adults are invited to stay after for food and fellowship.  We are looking forward to seeing you there!  Check out our event page.

Because of Praise and Worship and Adoration, Rosary Walk is cancelled for Friday, August 15th.

Prayer for Iraq! - Sunday, August 17th, 3pm
The Franciscan Place (commons level at Destiny USA mall, right next to DSW shoe store)

The Pope has asked for us to come together on August 17th to pray for Iraq and all those being persecuted there.  Please join us as we join together as one Church to pray for our brothers and sisters in Iraq.  We will be meeting at the Franciscan Place from 3-4pm.  ALL are welcome - not just the young adult community.  So please invite family, friends, neighbors and parishioners from your local parish.

Theology on Tap - Thursday, August 21st, 7pm
Dinosaur BBQ

Join us and the Diocese of Syracuse Young Adult Ministry for Theology on Tap next week!  Fr. Chris Seibt of St. Rose of Lima Church in North Syracuse will join us to discuss how to live out our Catholic faith in the world today.
FREE food is generously provided by The Diocese of Syracuse Young Adult Ministry.  Parking in the lot across the street is also free - just make sure to tell the attendant that you are there for the talk.

Pilgrimage to Quebec City, Columbus Day Weekend
Our friends from Sacred Heart Church in Cicero are planning a pilgrimage to Quebec City and a few of its many wonderful churches!  Plans are in the works and they have invited any young adults from the Franciscan Young Adults of Syracuse to come join them!  Would you like to come?  We will be leaving Friday,  October 10th after people get out of work.  Please email me by September 6th if you might be interested in attending.  We will need to have an estimated number of people by that point to appropriately arrange transportation and lodging.

See you soon!

God bless,

Ellen
