The Asia Pacific Future 100 is open for applications.
Deadline for Applications:
August 31, 2009. Open to social
entrepreneurs and changemakers in Asia
under the age of 30 years.
The annual Asia Pacific Future 100 program is a regional youth
entrepreneurship campaign to provide young and inspirational
entrepreneurs from Asia as role models to our youth to raise
entrepreneurship awareness in Asia Pacific.
100 young entrepreneurs and social Changemakers under the age of 30
years will be selected for a one- year fellowship and their stories
will serve as inspiration to foster an entrepreneurial culture among
our youth.
The annual Asia Pacific Future 100 is a much-needed program in Asia
that aims to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit among our youth in Asia
Pacific.
It aims to tackle:
1. The lack of entrepreneurial role models, which are needed to inspire
young people to become entrepreneurs.
2. To provide technical assistance and support to young entrepreneurs to
take their business to the next
level.
The profile of Asia Pacific Future 100 members includes young
entrepreneurs under the age of 30 who are an inspiration to other young
people because they dared to stride out by setting up their own
business, social enterprise or NGO. They have overcome challenges by
realizing their vision and believing in themselves.
Asia Pacific Future 100 is a regional nomination process. Nominations
are invited from: Mongolia, China, Japan, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam,
Philippines, Brunei, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan,
Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and
Myanmar.
Timeline Asia Pacific Future 100 (2009) program:
May- August 2009: Nomination period
1st – 14th September: Jury consultation
15th- 21st September: Audit
20th- 22nd October: Change Catalyst Conference
20th October 2009 –October 2010: Fellowship program
