Applications to the The Master of Arts in Gender-Aware Economics Program
by UNDP and Makerere University are now open. It is an intensive one year
programme that is tailored to provide the future generation of African
policy-makers and planners with the knowledge and tools they need to apply
gender equality as a key parameter in economic policy making, analysis,
planning, budgeting and implementation.
The Programme offers a sound foundation in Gender-aware Microeconomics and
Gender-aware Macroeconomics combined with training in Management. It
emphasizes practical applications of gender-aware economic theory in the
diverse contexts facing developing and emerging market economies as well
as the management skills needed for effective policy formulation and
realization.
