The YORUBA SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ENCYCLOPEDIA is now available on the web: Yoruba-scipedia.wikidot.com.

This work contains hundreds of science and technology related articles meant for Yoruba scientists, technologists , engineers, medical doctors, students, authors, and all Yoruba speakers interested in science and technology , It covers subject areas of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geosciences, Health sciences etc.

This encyclopedia can find usefulness as a teaching tool in the primary and secondary schools as subject categories have been tailored to reflect the syllabuses in the science related areas.

It also contains a large volume of Yoruba - English Dictionary (and vice-versa) for people interested in translating Science and technology taxts. It is also a reference material for university students and their professors alike.

The encyclopedia will be subject to continual reviews. Contributors are welcome.

YORUBA SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ENCYCLOPEDIA (Yoruba-scipedia.wikidot.com).: CONTRIBUTORS WANTED

Ladies and Gentlemen, 

You are invited to participate in the continuous development of this encyclopedia. The objective of the encyclopedia is to develop a site, like WIKIPEDIA, which will serve as a repository of knowledge in the YORUBA LANGUAGE.

Besides expanding our language, Yoruba - in the science and technology area, this encyclopedia serves as a useful tool in giving our young ones a place to do research in various subject areas without being restricted by their inability to read or write English well.

To participate:

1. Choose a subject matter to write about. e.g. Labalaba, Efon, Eera, etc 

2, Research this subject matter (You can also research into trending topics like EBOLA,  LASSA FEVER, etc)

3. Write about a page on this subject matter IN YORUBA - not more than TWO PAGES PLEASE

4. Mail to the site moderator -  jfaki...@gmail.com  - for inclusion in the encyclopedia.

All topics will bear the names of the author. If however, an author cannot translate his topic to Yoruba, a special arrangement can be made to help. However such a topic shall bear the name of the author and the name of the translator.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is a wonderful avenue to expose our children to our language and at the same time, learn about the wonders of nature. 

IT IS ALSO A FINE WAY FOR YOU TO  CONTINUE TO PRACTICE YOUR YORUBA. PLEASE LET US ALL PARTICIPATE.
