Egbe Ifa (Ifa's Blessings)

Ifa a se egbe ire
Ifa will do support ire [May Ifa crown sincere efforts with success.
Or, "May Ifa bless generously for sincere endeavors].

This prayer sounds simple enough, but it is a prayer loaded with
heavy requests and ase on behalf of an Awo offering it, and to the
Awo to whom it is offered. In this case, the prayer is doubled: in
intent and in context. The prayer can be offered on the understanding
of an action that requires the most sincere gesture of "Thank you."
It can also be offered on the level of a collective request to
Odumare for blessings on sincere endeavors towards humanity in
general, and for genuine spiritual efforts in particular.

Waking up every day and serving the Orisas with sincerity deserves
the prayer of "Ifa a se egbe ire." Getting up everyday and being kind
to ourselves and to the people in our immediate environs deserves the
prayer of "Ifa a se egbe ire." Simply radiating joy, and bringing the
best out of everyone we encounter, deserves the prayer of "Ifa a se
egbe ire." "Ifa a se egbe ire" is a prayer that is generous in
nature, because it goes beyond the individual self; therefore, its
intent should be incorporated in an Awo's daily acts.

This day, and beyond this day, Ifa a se egbe ire fun wa (May Ifa
bless us generously for our sincere efforts in everything we do).
Ase. A ji ire ni oni o (we wake up with ire today—"Good Morning").
