Prof. Khushi Singh Rathore is Max Weber Fellow at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies, European University Institute (EUI), Florence, Italy. She received her PhD from the Centre for International Politics, Organization and Disarmament (CIPOD) at Jawaharlal Nehru University and is Associate Editor, The Hague Journal of Diplomacy. Her doctoral thesis entitled ‘Women in Early Years of India’s Foreign Policy: Evaluating the Role of Vijaya Lakshmi Pandit’ is a study of the role of Vijaya Lakshmi Pandit as India’s first woman diplomat. Her research interests are Gender and Diplomacy, Feminist IR, Diplomatic History, Indian foreign policy and Asian foreign relations. Currently, she serves as the program co-Chair for the Feminist Theory and Gender Studies Section, and is at- large representative at the South Asia World Politics Section of the International Studies Association (ISA). She is also co-convener for the Gendering IR Working Group of the British International Studies Association (BISA).
