"The Hit" boards the Greyhound bus for the Trans Canada Trip
back to Vancouver. He has realized that the Mysterious Financier is a
family. The family is using their men, women, and children to haze "The
Hit. He overhears the Mysterious Financier's women talking about Cancer in
Thunder Bay. "The boys" will have identified the Mysterious Financier's
family along the southern route before the package is lost.
Jimmy The Junkie and his Crew were used as pawns by the
Mysterious Financier. They were junkies on Hastings Street, and the four
of them would have done anything for a few dollars. The Mysterious
Financier and his family played the junkies like pawns on a
chessboard.
The pawns worked the wedding in Winlaw in July 1997. The
pawns followed "The Hit" from the Tipparary Apartments to Ranelagh in Burnaby
before the note. The pawns played the note to the Hell's Angels in
Vancouver. The pawns played the note to the clubs on the Saskatoon trip at
Christmas in 1997. The pawns were played on the trip to Toronto in
January. The pawns were played back on the trip to Vancouver in early
February.
