Good Evening,

I'd like to spend ~£50 (exchange rates might mess with this) to have JLC manufacture a new apron gearbox for the lathe. The current 3d printed one is falling apart, which was only meant to be a temporary replacement for the original ZAMAC part, which died to zinc pest.

The quoted price includes shipping & vat - I'm having the part shipped as cheaply as possible, so we should have the part within a few weeks.

Best Regards,

Claire H

Considering the prices we saw on new manufactured replacements, £50 seems pretty reasonable to me, especially considering how much the lathe gets used.   At least the printed part got us by and demonstrated that the physical design is sound.

Yep. If the 3D part has already proved the design then it seems reasonable to me.

As much as I'm not around much, it seems to me that £50 is worth it to have working cross-feed.
