Oh noooo, the charlieplexing might have to wait. My 3.3 volt FTDI cable isn't compatible with the five volt board I have for charlieplexing. If anybody has one that is likely to be compatible it'd be awesome if you could bring it along tomorrow.

Dan, I've got 5V FTDI cable (with the green-to-black rainbow colours) and 3V3 FTDI compact USB board, will bring both tomorrow.

BTW for occasional lurkers, note that we've had a request to take pictures of all UK Hackspaces in advance of the Newcastle Maker Faire on the 27th/28th (I guess they want a photo wall or something), so attendance on 17th April meeting is likely to be preserved in a photo.

I'll be there. I have some 5v TTL to real serial level converter boards, these will work with anything that can output standard serial. I have plenty of usb to serial adaptors so I will bring both.

I for got to mention this earlier, but I managed to stab my foot on a metal fence on Monday. It is still a bit sore so I am only walking on it when I need to. I will have to miss this one.
