Lathe tool purchases

I would like to suggest that we get the following:

From RDG tools:

16mm RH/LH carbide insert tools - £42.50

160mm 4 Jaw Chuck - £126.50

From Arc:

10 carbide  inserts - £18.70

Keyless drill chuck 16mm - £18.50

Chuck arbor JT6 - £2.50

Ebay:

Backplate - £25 - £60

£233.2 - £263.2

Most of the money is from the sale of the mini lathe (from memory about £200), and I'm happy to donate the arc order if it would be helpful.

Looks sensible to me.  I think originally you'd spec'd some centres as well, do we no longer need these?

I think you'd originally mentioned MT2 dead, live and half centres.

We seem to have a decent number of random centres from YSJ.
We don't have a good live centre, but I'm also not sure exactly what to recommend, as they can be rather annoying if not well made.

I'm not sure what all these things are but if it makes the lathe fully functional then that seems like a reasonable investment.

I'm enlarging two of our existing tool holders to fit 16mm tools this evening
