YoJalt September Conference Preview Event

Dear Yokohama JALT Members,

This month, come out and see fellow members who will be presenting at JALT National conference in October.  Whether you can't make the October conference in Kobe, or you simply want to see some of your YoJalt colleagues in action, please consider coming out!  We have three presentations scheduled, including our former YoJalt Chapter president, Colin Skeates.

When:  Saturday, September 21st

Time: 13:00-16:00

Where:  Yokohama Education Center (Kyouiku Kaikan),  Dai 2 kaigishitsu.   Ten mins from Sakuragicho (JR/underground) or Hinode (Toyoko) Access Map

CALL FOR PRESENTER - AJET is looking for a JALT presenter for their November Skills Development Conference

Event: Saitama SDC (Skills Development Conference)

Date: November 7
Place: Urawa-ku
Length:   2 hours.
Topic: "Something practical for ALTs is always good….As they teach at a variety of levels (primary, junior high and senior high) something that can apply to all of them would be great. Effective use of the target language to teach the target language, for example, or an exploration of content-based learning." Something interactive.

Audience: "There will be around 80 ALTs (ALTs only) attending, 35 of whom are new this year."
