I have used Yojimbo on and of for a few years, tried the others but prefer Yojimbo.  I understand the syncing problems that many have sine end of MobileMe.  However my pressing need is to be able to import IWork documents.  I know pages is realla series of different docs and that is part of its difficulty, ther must be a work around.  Why is it that so many developers are working on similar products, DevonThink, Evernote, Together and some seem to get some thing right but not others. Devon gets Pages docs but no encryption, Yojimbo get encryption but no Pages and so on.

You can drag docs *into* notes. They show up as icons - no file names or anything - but they are there. This is similar behavior to Evernote - files are basically attachments to notes.

Well, I tried that but only icon shows, it is not clickable or anything. There is no interaction possible :/

To open the files, you drag them back out. You cannot open and edit from within Yojimbo. Any changes you make to the dragged out version will not apply to the one in Yojimbo. So if you wanted to update the file, you have to drag out, delete the one in Yojimbo, edit the one you dragged out, and then drag it back into Yojimbo.

<snarkyness> I hear this feature will be implemented right after nested folders, which, of course, will be done as soon as iCloud is working. ;-)  </snarkyness>

(long time readers of this list will understand…)

Well, I hope a **serious** solution will be provided anytime soon because for me this solution is not an option. With my workflow, I take less time by opening my pages files from the finder and then change and save than going to yojimbo, moving file to desktop, change, save and then put back to yojimbo.

This solution is really not user friendly if one want to modify a pages or numbers doc. This is even anti-friendly !

For the record, I regret Yojimbo does not currently support iWork
documents, nor (for various reasons) is this likely in the relatively near
future.

[PS: Though it is _possible_ to store arbitrary files within notes, we do
not consider this a solution nor do we recommend doing so.]
