NEW YEAR'S DAY DELONIS CENTER SERVICE PROJECT

Thursday, January 1, 2:30-5pm

Yoga Serves '1st Thursday of the month' dinner service at the Delonis Center Homeless Shelter falls on New Year's Day this January. Because it is a holiday it is harder to get volunteers. If you are in town and willing to spend a couple hours in service on the first day of the New Year we could really use your help!

826 MICHIGAN LIBRARY PROJECT

Adams STEM Academy, Ypsilanti

Yoga Serves volunteers will be helping at Adams STEM Academy, a public K-6 school in Ypsilanti. The school district can no longer afford to employ a librarian so we will help with shelving, reorganizing, and scanning the books in the library collection and possibly adding contact paper to some of the newer books to aid their longevity.

Yoga Serves has been volunteering at the Delonis Center Homeless Shelter every month for the past 6 years! On the first Thursday of each month a group of Yoga Serves members meet at the shelter to help with the preparation, serving and clean-up of the free dinners served to those in need.

Growing Hope's mission is to help people improve their lives and communities through gardening and healthy food access. Yoga Serve volunteers will help with a seed planting project on this work day.
