~vlm.1 The sage continued:—Though repeatedly burning amidst those fires, yet I was neither consumed nor felt the least pain therein; and though falling from one fire into another; yet I thought all this as a dream in my dreaming: (i. e. one dream in another).
~sv.1-2 THE SAGE continued: Though I was surrounded by that terrible fire there, I was not unhappy at all. When you know while dreaming that it is dream only, you are freed from even fire.

सीत्कारम् – Hissing – like the "cooling" breath, where air passes through the curled tongue. = अति.गम्भीरं दधन् मेघ-रव=उपमम् – offering a very deep sound like a noisy cloud = जगत्-पदार्थैर् आवृत्तैर् उद्यमानैः – upsetting with whirled worldly-things = परावृतः – turned around.

It howled and growled aloud like the roaring of clouds on high;
and blew fiercely all along, bearing down and carrying away every thing before it.

*sv.1.2 THE SAGE continued: Though I was surrounded by that terrible fire there, I was not unhappy at all. When you know while dreaming that it is dream only, you are freed from even fire.
