Hi,
The way USB works in Android is based on intends. When a device with a
specific VID:PID is connected to the USB host, is recognized by Android
and the application registered for that VID:PID is launched.
In this case, when a FTDI based USB serial device is connected to the
USB host, you must be prompted to launch BlueVNA. Is this the case?

If this is not the case, manually starting the app will solve nothing.
There are other possibilities too, for example miniVNA is using a FTDI
chip which is not supported by the app.
As stated before, my own miniVNA standard is modified for Bluetooth and
cannot be used anymore over USB, so I cannot test directly.
It works on the other side with my miniVNA Pro over USB, which
theoretically uses the same FTDI chip.
