In conversation with LWVSF: San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency Board
Wednesday, September 17 from 12:15-12:45 (30 minutes over lunch - FREE)
Join the League of Women Voters to learn how San Franciscans benefit from the Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) Board and how we can work with the board to make government more transparent and accountable.
This brief lunchtime event on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, 12:15–12:45pm PT will feature SFMTA Board Chair Janet Tarlov in conversation with Zhe Wu, a journalist with the San Francisco Public Press.
Learn what the SFMTA board does, why Tarlov wanted to serve as board chair, how the board collaborates with SFMTA and other departments, and more. You'll better understand issues including the "fiscal cliff" facing SFMTA, the role of its Citizens' Advisory Council, Vision Zero, and policies impacting people living in their cars and vehicles.
REMINDER: This event is 30 minutes long. It begins at 12:15 so you have time to get your lunch and ends at 12:45 to give you a break before the hour.
