An increasing number of employers are asking behavioral interview questions. They’re after information about your JUDGEMENT, ADAPTABILITY, PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS, WORK STYLE, LEADERSHIP and INTERPERSONAL SKILLS. Interviewers want to know how you handle situations and how you make decisions. They want to know your feelings and observations. They want to hear more about your thought process. They want to know how you organize you work and adjust to change. They want to know that you can fit in and succeed in the role.

Behavioral questions often start with “tell me about a time when…” . 

One of the best ways to answers these questions is with the “STAR” method: Situation, Task, Action, Result.
