Hi, everyone,

Full Circle Fund is offering two events on nonprofit program evaluation—one for prospective/new board members and another for nonprofit staff:

Nonprofit Board Service 101 - Evaluation
Wed, Nov 6, 5:30-8:30pm
SFSU Downtown Campus, 835 Market, 6th Floor, San Francisco

Are you thinking about taking your first nonprofit board seat? Do you want to be a better nonprofit board member?

We’ve partnered with experts at San Francisco State College of Extended Learning to bring you a training designed to empower you to deepen your engagement in the social sector. Join us for dinner and network with professionals interested in social impact before the presentation. A panel discussion will follow, featuring the experienced insight of our friends and Members with experience around program evaluation as a nonprofit board member.

Capacity Building Workshop - Evaluation
Wed, Nov 13, 6:00-8:30pm
Citizen Engagement Lab, 1330 Broadway, Suite 300, Oakland

RSVP

Is this a logic model or a theory of change? What's the difference between an outcome and an output? What evaluative processes can we do in-house, with our limited resources; what warrants outside help and specific funding? How do I make sure that programmatic design-- rather than development needs-- drive strategy related to measurement? And, ultimately, how do we really know if our hard work and dedication are leading to change in the world?

If these questions and others keep you up at night (or just give you pause when you go to write that grant proposal!), this workshop is for you! Get a handle on the jargon. Take a step back to think strategically about why you do what you do. Refine the logic behind your organization's approach. And come away with fresh insights related to how you might demonstrate efficacy.
