Hello All,
Laura Cunningham, California Director of Western Watersheds Project, presents a field trip at Point Reyes National Seashore on Saturday, January 25, 2020, from 10 am to approximately 2pm, rain or shine. Laura is an environmental leader deeply knowledgeable in the scientific, legal, and ethical issues surrounding our public lands, with specific focus on Point Reyes.
We will tour a remnant of rare coastal prairie in addition to parkland degraded by cattle ranching. If time permits, we will also go and observe native Tule elk. There will be no hiking involved.
All are welcome on this free informative family-friendly tour.
Please meet 10 am at the Red Barn parking area near the road entrance to the Seashore’s Bear Valley Visitor Center (75 Bear Valley Road, Point Reyes Station, CA). https://www.nps.gov/pore/planyourvisit/upload/map_park.pdf + https://www.ptreyes.org/visitor-info/directions
From there, car-pooling for the tour will be encouraged. Bring rain gear just in case.
Come, witness, and learn how our National Seashore is being managed.
Very best,
Mark
