Position Summary:
LEE seeks a Coordinator, General Ledger/Grants Accountant to assist with monthly general ledger accounting, grant management, and expense processing.
This integral member of the finance team will report to the Senior Director of Finance and work closely with the Senior Director of Budgeting, Planning and Analysis. The Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the various components of our monthly financial cycle, including AMEX and expense processing, auditing staff expense transactions for compliance, grant management, and expense analysis.
This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a larger team. The candidate should be highly organized and possess a strong attention to detail. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with experience in grant management and a financial software package, preferably the Financial Edge.
Qualified candidates for this position will have demonstrated strong analytical and written communication skills. Additional requirements include experience with internal auditing, advanced excel skills, and previous accounting experience in a 501c3 and/or 501c4 organization.
