Position Summary
The Manager, Compliance and Member Resources will serve on the Elected Leadership (EL) team and in the Office of the Vice President, reporting to the VP, Elected Leadership. The Elected Leadership team is responsible for inspiring, developing and supporting our members to effectively pursue elected office as a path to help kids and their community.
The Manager will be responsible for collaborating with LEE’s Finance, Legal, and Candidate Development teams to maintain electoral compliance for all organization expenditures and Political Action Committee (PAC) activity. This person will focus their efforts on ensuring that systems and procedures are in place to accurately capture and report all of LEE’s electoral activity and that this information is easily accessible. The Manager will be the lead point of contact with LEE’s compliance consultants as well as directly supervise a Compliance Intern. The Manager will assist in programmatic fundraising including, but not limited to, regional donor prospecting, event invitation and attendance tracking, assisting in the production of program prospectuses and grants, and drafting fundraising emails.
Qualified candidates will have a clear commitment to our mission and theory of change, as well as a community-driven approach and organizing philosophy. This person must also be able to incorporate the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion concepts of power, privilege, oppression, and liberation into our work with members.
