Rapid Response Writer at Freedom Forum, $115k-$120k, Remote, DC preferred

Hi, everyone! 

NRG Consulting Group is helping Freedom Forum hire a Rapid Response Writer to join their team to further their mission to foster First Amendment freedoms for all. 

Reporting to the Content Managing Editor, the Rapid Response Writer will work with the Digital Director and Digital Rapid Response Team to tell compelling, nonpartisan and newsworthy stories that connect diverse audiences to the First Amendment. The work will involve researching, writing, editing and fact-checking, often on tight deadlines. 

The successful candidate has at least five years of experience writing on tight deadlines, including storytelling and idea generating; a background in journalism is a plus. They have excellent attention to detail, writing and copyediting skills, the ability to distill complex topics for a broad audience, and a passion for Freedom Forum’s mission.

This is a remote position, with preference for candidates in DC, and the salary range is $115,000 to $120,000 plus benefits.
