NRG Consulting Group is helping the ACCE Institute Contra Costa hire a Field Organizer to join their Pittsburg organizing team. ACCE Institute works to improve the lives of California's traditionally underserved residents, including communities of color, low-income and working families, and the undocumented population, by carrying out work that fosters deep, indigenous leadership development, policy creation, robust civic participation, and broad community empowerment.

The Field Organizer will fight for housing justice and help win tenant protections in East Contra Costa County by running canvassing operations in low to moderate income housing complexes in Pittsburg, CA. ACCE Field Organizers build organization by talking with residents about the changes they want to see in their local communities and beyond. Field Organizers build upon these conversations by preparing and training community leaders to research key issues, hold subsequent meetings and trainings with other community members, and develop thoughtful campaign strategies that lead to local wins and broader victories. 

The successful candidate has a belief in organizing for power and commitment to social justice, strong interpersonal and communication skills, sound organizational skills, ability to walk at least 4 hours per day, and is someone who truly understands and meaningfully connects to the life experience and challenges of the communities ACCE serves. Previous canvassing experience is preferred but not required. 

This is a full-time position based in Pittsburg, CA. The salary for this position is $62,000-$65,000 with benefits.
