NRG Consulting Group is helping Vital Impacts hire a Development Director to lead fundraising during a pivotal growth phase.  Vital Impacts works to harness the power of storytelling and visual journalism to drive conservation impact.

This is a hands-on, senior role for an experienced fundraiser who is excited to grow major individual and corporate support, steward meaningful donor relationships, and partner closely with a founder-led organization scaling its reach and impact.

The ideal candidate brings:

• A strong track record securing and growing major individual gifts and/or corporate partnerships

• A builder mindset, with experience creating or significantly strengthening fundraising efforts in a small or early-stage organization

• Exceptional relationship-building skills across multiple constituencies, paired with thoughtful, human-centered stewardship

• A genuine commitment to journalism and storytelling, with the ability to translate reporting and creative work into compelling, ethical cases for support

• Comfort serving as a #2 partner to a highly visible, public-facing Executive Director, helping turn vision, relationships, and momentum into concrete fundraising results

This is a remote, contract role (approximately 30 hours/week) with flexibility and meaningful leadership responsibility. The compensation is $120k/year for 80% time commitment.
