Position Summary
The Elected Leadership team is responsible for inspiring, developing, and supporting our members to effectively pursue elected office as a path to help kids and their communities. The Director, Digital Engagement, Candidate Development will serve on the Elected Leadership team and is responsible for supporting the online efforts of LEE members interested in pursuing elected leadership. This position will support a regional portfolio of candidates. In addition to providing candidates with online support, you will also be the point person on managing a candidate’s CRM and website in conjunction with the campaign’s staff and Director of Candidate Development (DCD).
The person in this position will have demonstrated online campaigning skills, communications and design experience, an ability to build personal, trust-based relationships with diverse individuals, and feel comfortable working and succeeding in entrepreneurial environments. This position will strategically assist LEE members who choose to pursue elected leadership with their campaigns by providing support in ways including, but not limited to: building a campaign’s online presence, building their email list, helping acquire new online donors, establishing a plan for online and social media engagement, working on paid digital strategy with vendors as necessary. This position is also responsible for ensuring that appropriate information is flowing vertically and horizontally to the Director(s) of Candidate Development and to other specialists as needed. This position reports to the Senior Director of Campaign Development.
