Capital Campaign Director at Critical Resistance, $120,000 to $140,000, Remote in CA

NRG Consulting Group is helping Critical Resistance hire a Capital Campaign Director to join their team. Critical Resistance is a national grassroots organization working to end the prison industrial complex.

The Capital Campaign Director, reporting to the Development Director, will drive and staff Building People Power (BPP)’s multi-year capital campaign, leading strategy, fundraising, donor engagement, and ecosystem coordination to complete the remaining raise and bring a bold vision to life. 

At the heart of the campaign is the transformation of a 10,000 square ft building in Oakland, CA. BPP has secured ownership of the building and a $6 million lead gift. The working goal is $11.5 million to complete renovations and ensure long-term sustainability for building operations

The successful candidate has:

• 5–7+ years of fundraising experience, including with capital campaigns or major gifts;

• A track record of securing six figure+ gifts;

• Staff management experience;

• A deep commitment to prison industrial complex abolition.

This is a full-time, 2-year+ remote position in CA, with strong preference for candidates based in the Bay Area. Some travel will be required for site visits, donor visits and events. Consideration will also be given to exceptional candidates not based in CA. The salary range is $120,000 to $140,000 plus benefits.
