Xtian Harmony tomorrow at Stoeckel Hall (July 23)

We will sing at Stoeckel Hall tomorrow, July 23, 7–9 pm, from the 2010 edition of the Christian Harmony, a tunebook first published in 1866 by William Walker (composer of many songs in the Sacred Harp). While overlapping the content of the Sacred Harp in many ways, the Christian Harmony also contains a large selection of gospel and reform-style hymnody and uses a seven-shape notation with a full do-re-mi-fa-sol-la-si-do scale. 

Next week's regular singing from the Sacred Harp will be held on Tuesday, July 29, also at Stoeckel Hall.
