yMWIA Exec greeting - draft review

Hello ladies~

 

I hope everyone is doing well all over the globe.

 

Today I'm emailing you all to send out a very much belated draft of our executive committe member greeting. (I wont lay out the one too many possible excuses for the delay, but I'm sure you all understand the busy life of a resident...) 

 

Before sending this greeting out to all of the members, I wanted to run this draft by you ladies to make sure there are no minor spelling errors in the your names and/or other issues.

So please let me know if there are any mistakes. 

Due to limited space (because I didnt want the greeting to go over one page), I have not written out all of our full names in the main letter, but designated 'Dr. so and so' to the presently MDs and 'Miss so and so' to the medical students in the executive committee.  Our full names are present at the end of the letter with our pictures.

 

Please take a look at the greeting, and once I get everyone's 'ok', I will send it out to the rest.

Hi,

It looks great. 

1.  The images are completely distorted. I'm not sure if it's just my viewer, but final copy should be sent as a PDF to avoid this issue. We can use the header from the newsletter and the official logo. Please send me the final versions and I can fix this.

2. I think it'd be helpful to discuss ways for members to be involved and let them know the theme for this year. The images below are excellent for introducing ourselves, so I don't think that information needs to be repeated.

Perhaps you can refer to Rosemary's previous address. I'm sure she would be happy for you to get a copy.

I just tried to view the document through google and you're right, the images do come out distorted. I dont know why it...  But once you open the document in Word, the images are fine.  But nevertheless, I plan to send out the final version as a pdf like I had done with the thank you note after the congress.

Do you have original image files of the MWIA logo though? If you do, could you send it to me. The image I'm currently using is a capture shot from the website...

 

As for mentioning about member involvement and our theme, I felt we are still in the discussion process from Deborah's last email, so I thought it was a bit premature to bring up the topic.  But I will wait for comments from the other committee members. So let's wait and see~

Thanks so much, Seung Yun, for putting this together! I made some edits. Also the spacing was off so I fixed that as well. See attached. I agree with Pam in that we have space to include on how members can get more involved.

Is there interest in creating an online form so that students can submit their membership online? If so, let me know and I would be more than happy to create this so that it can also go out in the newsletter.

I would just say that membership is organized through mwia as this affects membership standing and how member fees are collected.  These are going to be changed at the organizational level to align with world bank criteria.
